However, if I am in VB 6, the list of references includes the Office12\mso.dll and not the Office11\mso.dll. It really helped me out. Alternatively, some programs, notably PC games, require that the DLL file is placed in the game/application installation folder. Reply ndazcom 6 years ago as above.
I do not know why there would be two different mso.dll files in the first place but don't want to criticise only get VS2010 to look at it's own mso.dll. Still, the Office apps cannot load. one possibility is that one might have to have a compiler, such as VB 6 or, some other language, and not just office. I have to include either the Office12\mso.dll or the Office11\mso.dsl as a reference, as well as the reference for Excel. Thanks dude !
